The best 24-inch TVs

by Chris Williams |

There's no doubt that screen size is pretty important when it comes to TVs, and whilst a 50-inch or a 65-inch TV can both be excellent options, they aren’t always very convenient. In a moderately-sized bedroom, or perhaps a kitchen or even a caravan, using a TV of this size is like sitting in the very front row at the cinema - not great for the space you're working with, or your eyes.

Therefore, for those of you who wish to get yourself a smaller TV and save a substantial amount of money in the process, check out our best 24-inch TVs roundup below. We've got a wide range of 24-inch TVs, some of which have smart features and others which are slightly more basic.

Is a 24-inch TV right for me?

This is a crucial question. It ultimately depends on the space in which you plan to put it. 24-inch TVs are great for smaller bedrooms, such as those in university halls, or perhaps on a shelf in the kitchen. They aren’t ideal for living rooms because they tend to be too small for the larger spaces where people are often several feet from the screen.

For larger rooms, TVs of at least 32-inches are better. A loose rule of thumb is that the suitable distance you should be from the screen is about two times the screen size. Therefore, the optimal distance for using a 24-inch TV is about four feet. That's why 24-inch TVs sometimes come supplied with 12v power adaptors as they are the perfect TV size for caravans and motorhomes, and can be powered from a leisure battery.

Most 24-inch TVs have HD 720p. One of the exceptions is the Philips TV above which has 1080p Full HD. Out of our recommendations, we would suggest either the Sharp with its ACE PRO software or the Philips with its Full HD and Pixel Plus HD picture enhancement.
