Best Beauty Subscription Boxes

If you’re a fan of new beauty products and love receiving surprises in the post, then a beauty subscription box could be the thing for you. Sign up to one of these subscriptions, and each month you’ll receive a box full of miniature (or occasionally full-size if you’re lucky) cosmetics to try. They can save you hours of testing products out at the beauty counters in shops, and it’s fun to receive a big box of unknown beauty pots and tubes every few weeks.

Try out the products in your beauty subscription box and then buy the full size if they suit you - often you can order the full-size version to arrive with your next subscription box. It’s like having a magazine subscription arrive in your letterbox each month, but more fun and more beautiful.

We’ve chosen some of the best beauty subscription boxes on the market at the moment, whatever your budget and whether you like high-end or supermarket cosmetics.

From £8.50 per month

Each month, five beauty products arrive in a beautiful pink keepsake box, and you’ll probably be familiar with a lot of the brands featured. The products come with description cards - helpful if you have no idea what the product is or how to use it. You can also set up a profile from which your beauty box will be tailored, so it gets to know what type of products you use. You can unsubscribe at any time. More than 1million people subscribe to these boxes already, which come with a different theme each month - November’s ‘Beauty SOS’ theme was a real favourite.

From £13 per month

With a range of products each month worth more than £50, you’ll find new and exciting brands alongside old favourites too. You can choose from one, three, six or 12-month subscriptions, starting from £13 a month, and delivery is free. There are frequent monthly themes, and special partnerships with sell-out brands so a subscription will guarantee you get your hands on your favourite items.

£10 per month

The packaging for the Roccabox subscription box is beautiful, but so are the products you’ll find inside every month too. This is a simple box, with a standard cost of £10 per month, and you can cancel any time. You can also buy previous boxes as a one-off (while stocks last) which is great if you fancy treating a friend to last month’s box that you loved.

From £10 per month

Birchbox was the first beauty subscription box on the market, and remains one of the most popular. You can personalise it to your specific hair, skin and makeup preferences too. There are loyalty treats for subscribers too, including discounts off full-size products and exclusive competitions, and once you’ve been subscribing for more than six months you become a Birchbox VIP for added treats including specially designed boxes.

From £13.95

This beauty subscription box does what it says on the tin - it is full of little-known brands, ideal for beauty fans who always want to try the newest products on the market, first. Mintd Box
£70 per month

While most beauty subscription boxes offer small versions of brands, the Mintd box will send you four or five full-size or deluxe-size products each month.
