What to look for in a JBL speaker?

JBL speakers all tend to have roughly the same level of excellent audio quality, and any dips in battery life tend to match the size. Where you can find an actual difference, however, is in the waterproofing. For that, you just need to consult the impress protection rating.

Most ratings will appear as "IPX" and then a number, however, many JBL speakers are "IP67". As a general rule of thumb, the higher the number, the better. Here is roughly what each number represents for waterproofing:

IPX4- protection from splash and sprays from any direction

IPX5- protection from low-pressure jets

IPX6- protection from high-pressure jets

IPX7- can be submerged for 30 minutes at less than a metre

For IP67, it has the same protection as an IPX7, for water, but the 6 represents its strength against solids- so it's another great protective option!

How to connect PartyBoost JBL speakers?

One of the best ways to step up your audio experience is to pair up multiple JBL speakers together, but without wires, you may be a bit confused about how to go about it. Luckily, it's quite a simple process once you know how.

Connect to one of the speakers on your phone, test a bit of music on it, and then just press the connect button for all the speakers you want. To make the process even easier, and give you a bit of extra control over the speakers, the JBL companion app is super helpful.
