US Prime

What started out as a humble little DVD postage service in LoveFilm, has since evolved into the globally dominating multi-platform streaming service Prime Video. We can thank Jeff Bezos and Amazon for playing a part in revolutionising the way we watch our favourite movies and TV. The Prime streaming catalogue offers some great titles to choose from, but did you know that this selection changes depending on what country you’re in? Or at least the country’s internet servers you’re using. With a great VPN, you can actually access different servers around the world and hence, you can access region exclusive content. Catching some US Prime is a seriously good opportunity.

Today, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t be taking advantage of a reliable VPN, even if it is just to ensure your devices and personal information remain safe and secure. While Virtual Private Networks have online privacy down to the minute details, they do open up the door for other possibilities too.

VPNs encrypt your IP address, that’s how they grant you internet anonymity. The clever part is that you as the user can actually choose the location of this new IP. Let’s say you’re a regular Prime Video enjoyer, if you change the server on your VPN to USA, you’ll now have access to the US Prime Video selection. This method also applies to every other streaming service too, even allowing you to access services that aren’t available in your residing country altogether.

We’re going to assume you’ve made the right call and gotten yourself a solid VPN. Now you can take your first steps to levelling up your streaming experience. Join us at What’s the Best while we take a look at what US Prime has for you. Though there may not be a total switch up in the catalogue, there are some titles to sink your teeth into that you otherwise wouldn’t be able to.

Renfield

Renfield

As 2023 got started, Renfield made the watchlist for many as one of the most anticipated films for the year. Nicholas Cage as the nefarious Count Dracula? Come on, who wouldn’t be giddy with excitement?

This dark fantasy that holds as many laughs as it does frights is only available on US Prime. Cage stars alongside fellow Nicholas, Nicholas Hoult who you might recognise from the 2011-2019 run of X-men movies and much much more.

Renfield is Dracula’s henchman and inmate at the lunatic asylum, yet he longs for a life away from the Count, his dark wishes and the horror that transpires all too frequently.

The Boys

The Boys

A series that’s becoming a true staple for Prime Video needs no introduction. The Boys came along at a very well-needed time. Though many won’t want to admit, the superhero genre had become somewhat stagnant across the board. Marvel’s do-good MCU was beginning to decline in cinematic originality, and DC still couldn’t find their footing.

Outrageous, jaw-dropping, and darn right fun is what The Boys has been for three seasons strong. It’s become one of Prime’s flagship shows, and it’s one of the few TV series in a long time that’s made viewers question “did they really just do that?” virtually every episode.

Karl Urban and Jack Quaid star as an unlikely duo along with their ragtag group of vigilantes who will stop at nothing to hunt down morally corrupt supes who abuse their (not so) God given powers.

Gen V

Gen V

Speaking of The Boys, the world of unruly superheroes and slimy corporations just got even bigger with Gen V. A direct spin off of the hit TV series showcases the first generation of superheroes that know their powers originated from compound V. The naïve group of youngsters must survive the trials and politics of Godolkin University, the number one institution for gifted teens that might not be all it’s cracked up to be.

Season two has already been announced, and the first season has already ticked all the right boxes. Same recipe, fresh story.

The Grand Tour

The Grand Tour

Automotive fans around the world weren’t best pleased in 2015 after hearing the news that cult show Top Gear would be no more. What Top Gear followers weren’t too keen on either was the show’s reboot that came less than a year later replacing the timeless trio of Clarkson, Hammond, and May. There was a glimmer of hope though, because in that very same year, Amazon saved the day and The Grand Tour was born.

Jeremy, Richard, and James travel around the globe in some of the most exciting cars in some even more exciting and oftentimes questionable environments. There’s no doubt the magic is still alive, as are the thrills, mishaps and tomfoolery you’d come to expect.

Invincible

Invincible

Based on the comic book of the same name, Robert Kirkman’s Invincible made its adaptation to the small screen back in 2021. The Amazon original series is an adult cartoon form the mind of Robert Kirkman – famous for The Walking Dead comics and its eventual adaptation to television.

A young superhero faces the challenges that come with the world’s most powerful superhero being your father, some of which become far darker and more worrisome than he could’ve possibly imagined.

Speaking of The Walking Dead, Steven Yeun stars as Mark Grayson/Invincible alongside J.K. Simmons as Nolan Grayson/Omni-Man. Up there with some of best adult cartoons have to offer, Invincible also stands strong in what’s become a highly saturated superhero genre.

What is a VPN?

A VPN is just short for Virtual Private Network, which is a handy online privacy tool that can protect your devices and your personal information. It keeps you anonymous from everyone, especially intrusive online entities that would like nothing more than to get a hold of your online data.

How can I use a VPN to watch US Prime?

Using a VPN to access the US Prime catalogue is simple. Just go to your VPN app, choose a US-based server, and then load up the Prime Video app or browser extension. We'd urge you to use a reputable streaming VPN for the best results here. This method applies if you want to access the streaming catalogues of any other country around the world too, and other streaming services for that matter.

Absolutely, using a VPN to watch region-specific content is completely legal. Make sure that VPNs are legal in the country you’re using it in, then you’re good to go. For obvious reasons, using a VPN to mask illegal activity and accessing banned material is always an immediate no go.
