Amazon's brand new Blink doorbell is a sharp, minimalistic, yet powerful piece of tech that offers you peace of mind for you and your loved ones. And best of all, you can set it up within minutes, no DIY required.

Using Amazon’s Blink app, which is incredibly simple and intuitive to use, the Blink Video Doorbell can detect even the slightest motion near your door and will alert you immediately on your phone, and as long as there’s Wi-Fi, you don’t need to be nearby. Travel to your heart’s content without the tiresome worry that something’s happened to your home.

But what about Blink’s video quality? You may think for its price that Blink’s camera would be a little underwhelming. But you’d be dead wrong. Blink has a crystal-clear 1080p camera, as well as an infrared night-vision mode, so you’re protected, day and night.

Need to answer the door while you’re not in? Simply use the built-in two-way audio system, so you can hear them, and they can hear you. Problem solved.

As a bit of Amazon smart tech, it’s compatible with a ton of Amazon’s other gadgets, namely your Amazon Echo, which you’ve probably already got in your home by now. Simply pair Amazon Blink with your Echo or Fire device, and whenever your doorbell is pressed, Alexa will alert you! No smartphone is required.

As mentioned beforehand, the Amazon Blink is an absolute breeze to set up. You can either wire it in manually, requiring some slight DIY that shouldn’t be too tricky, or you can simply use two AA batteries, and you’ll be up and running in no time. Best of all, the Amazon Blink uses very little power, so your batteries will last you as long as two years (dependent on environmental factors, of course).

Speaking of environmental factors, the Amazon Blink is built to weather the storm. Literally. With total protection from the elements, whether that’s freezing cold snow or blistering summers, Blink is built to last. And if under some unfortunate circumstance your Blink happens to break, you’ve got a two-year warranty.

Not satisfied with the basic Blink doorbell? Amazon has you covered with all the add-ons you could ever want. If you’re not comfortable with using AA batteries and would prefer to knock some money off of your electricity bill, check out Blink’s Solar Panel Mount for endless power at all times. Now that’s peace of mind.

And if you’re not keen on Blink’s infrared camera, there’s also a terrifically powerful floodlight that kicks out 700 lumens, which is bound to deter any intruders from stepping foot near your beloved home.

There are a bunch of customisation options you can grab for house protection your way. It’s intuitive, it’s safe, and it’s guaranteed for the foreseeable future. Do yourself a favour, if you want to protect your home, grab yourself a Blink, you won’t regret it.
