Apple Watch users can now benefit from the exceptional workout guidance provided by the all-new free-to-use app, Training Today. Through an intuitive and intellectual application of data, the app offers personalised exercise information to tell you what is best for your body in real-time. After all, information is power.

This ad-free app uses data collected from a 24-hour cycle of the Apple Watch readings to advise you when to exercise and at what intensity. Training Today will offer a Readiness To Train score, and use this to provide you with a prompt, such as “Looking good” or “You are ready for peak performance”. Having this feedback while training is a powerful tool, allowing you to make informed and beneficial training choices, which can quickly have you setting personal bests.

Equally, it’s there to tell you when to pull back a little, or even when to have a rest day, to prevent overtraining and reducing the likelihood of injury. If you’re Readiness To Train score is at a certain level, you may receive cues, like “Complete as planned but listen to your body” or “Give your body some time to rest”. When you’re dedicated to a workout routine or to achieving a fitness goal, we can easily fall into the trap of pushing our bodies too far, ignoring, or not registering, signs of fatigue. Training Today serves as a polite and well-informed reminder that rest is as important to the body as exercise.

Readouts and reports are also available to view on the accompanying iPhone app.
