Each one was individually wrapped with pink tissue paper and revealed the first surprise, these glitter balls.

Each ball has a plastic wrapper on it, which provided more information about Snapsies as well as outlining nine characters that may be inside... However, further inspecting the label you'll quickly realise there are 18 different ones to collect. Plus, you're able to mix and match animals, moods and styles.

Perfect for ages six and over, this Snapsies ball opens easily and reveals a secret bag, stickers, instructions and bright leaflet that tells you all about the 18 different Snapsies available.

Little ones will love opening the bag only to discover a couple of accessories and another bag to open. It's almost like if Matryoshka doll had a 2020 makeover.

Once they've opened all three bags, you'll find accessories and parts that snap together to make a fun toy.

Our toy experts verdict:

Whether you're looking for a stocking filler or a budget-friendly gift, this surprise Snapsies toy is something to get excited for this Christmas. Although this feels similar to a L.O.L surprise pets assortment, Snapsies has a variety of characters to find including a unicorn, shark, mermaid and dragon.

They're definitely a collection toy, and the glitter ball is fantastic for packing or storing all the accessories. I think this will encourage creative play and will allow for hours of fun without breaking the bank.

I expect BIG things for the Snapsies, and can see Father Christmas delivering a few of these on the 25 December...
