Making smoothies with a NutriBullet

If you made a New Year's resolution to get fitter and have a healthier diet, then you might have already considered buying a NutriBullet. Should you invest? I say a big resounding YES: and here's why.

As cliché as it sounds, I honestly don’t know how I lived without my NutriBullet. This week, I’ve used it every day. Last night, I created a katsu curry by blending the ingredients for the sauce with it. This blender has not only encouraged me to try different recipes, but it has allowed me to eat a more balanced diet. As a result, I feel like I have a lot more energy.

Many people initially buy a NutriBullet with the aim of making smoothies. But after a couple of weeks, my motivation began to dip and I became bored with standard smoothie recipes. To boost morale, I started to research different recipes, and it opened up a whole new world of opportunity. From piña colada cocktails to vegan whipped cream and even a body sugar scrub, this blender can help make it all.

Before buying my NutriBullet, I didn’t do any research. Apart from knowing it was great at extracting nutrients from fruit and veg, I didn't know a lot else. But once I’d set it up and started using it, I slowly began to realise I needed to know more about it; especially as specific maintenance is needed to keep it clean. Luckily there are a lot of online tutorials explaining how to clean your NutriBullet, and they are simple and easy to follow. Watch these videos and avoid blueberry smoothie splashing over your ceiling.

Having a NutriBullet is great if you're on the go all the time, as you can prepare food quickly. The lidded cups were an unexpected bonus for me; they’ve been really useful and are great for taking fresh smoothies into work every day. If I’m honest, the longest and most difficult part about using a NutriBullet is preparing all the fruit and veg ahead of time. However, if you're really efficient and obsessed, create a weekly chart and stick to your shopping list religiously.
