Natural deodorants have come a long way in recent years. Statistics show they’re gaining in popularity (and effectiveness) as many of us are moving towards more natural beauty routines. Yours Beauty Editor Michelle Nightingale has rounded up her top favourites on offer in the UK.
Why is it a good idea to switch to a natural deodorant? Sweating helps our bodies regulate temperature. Traditional antiperspirants use aluminium salts to prevent sweating by plugging up the sweat glands. Natural versions neutralise odours and mop up moisture while allowing your body to do its thing. It’s normal to experience a ‘detox’ sweatier period while making the switch, but your body will adjust.
